Dr. Hossein Mehdian
Dr. Mehdian is an Orthopaedic Spinal Surgeon who specialises in complex reconstructive spinal deformity surgery in children and adults.
He has pioneered surgical techniques for Cervical Osteotomy, Reduction of high-grade spondylolithesis and early onset scoliosis.
Dr. Mehdian has presented 160 papers in national and international meetings and published over 150 articles in peer-reviewed journals. He has written instructional chapters in international textbooks. He is an active member of the International Society for the Study of the Lumbar Spine, Cervical Spine Research Society, Scoliosis Research Society, British Scoliosis Society, British Association of Spinal Surgeons and European Spine Society.

Dr. Mehdian has been involved in the design and development of a number of spinal instrumentation systems and holds US and European patents. In 1991 he was included in the Inventors Who’s Who of Science and Technology.
He has international roles with the Scoliosis Research Society (SRS) including former chair of the SRS Global Outreach Committee, Patients Education Committee and served as a member of a number of other committees.
Dr. Mehdian serves as the Chair for the Pre-Day and Lunch Symposia Committee for the European Spine Society. He is also a visiting professor to several centres of spinal surgery across the world.
